Slow Shutter Speed Photography!!

Shutter speed? If you own a DSLR camera perhaps you have come across the term before. This is because these cameras was normally have the features in every DSLR camera. If you find yourself with a camera that has settings for “shutter speed” or "TV mode" (have a browse through your manual if you’re unsure), then you’re lucky! You’ll be able to make use of the effects outlined here. This picture I took is was on the bridge along the LDP highway. Tripod and wireless shutter trigger might the most important things to take a slow shutter photography. This will help you to produce image clearly without any vibration. Turn off your image stabilizer might be the best tips as it make the lenses stabilizer system not shaking because you already using a tripod. Decrease the ISO meter to avoid unnecessary light and over exposure. Sample picture below was too simple for me to show the result but yeah im gonna try to find the best scenery view for this project sooner :). Enough said, try your own slow shutter speed photography and good luck friends!!

Trip to Malacca (Melaka)!!

Hi fellas! This was a picture taken when I went to Malacca. It takes only approximately 1 hour drive journey from Kuala Lumpur to Malacca via PLUS highway.  The city was full of eye-catching sights and attractive modern establishment where ever you go along the street. It was easy to go around on foot or by trishaw to explore the city which has been gazetted as the world heritage city. The main attraction was Baba-Nyonya Heritage Museum, Dutch Square, Stadthuys, St John's Fort and many more of historical places. At night, you can go to the Jonker Walk, a night market selling souvenirs, clothes and rare items at affordable prices. You may also like to go to Hard Rock Cafe Melaka Rock Shop which was new there located beside the Jonker Walk. Happy weekend friends!! :)

Maternity Photography! ( Ashratul and Faliq )

Salam! This was my first work on maternity photography. The subject was mainly focus on big round bulges on mummy belly ' it has most magnificent invention of god to human ' inside it. I am struggling to shot in a very creativity way on how to ask the mum to pose in a good ways so I can get the subject alive in the picture. The result that I get perhaps can reach my satisfactory level. Yeah, to prepare for this shot, I suggest you to come out with an idea on how you can snap those moment to make it more beautiful for them. Taking that natural beauty of a woman who’s ready to bring new life into the world and placing her in the majesty of the great outdoors is simply breathtaking. This shot was taken at my village Negeri Sembilan on September 2011. I give you some tips toward creative maternity photography.

6 tips for maternity photography:

1. Give them Something Different:
Don’t just shoot what’s always been shot. This is a good general rule of photography. Try to be “consistently inconsistent”. We have got to approach each shoot as it’s own. Try to be committed as a photographer to tailoring each shoot for the subject photograph. This is a good general rule that applies particularly to maternity photography. Even though millions and millions of mothers have given birth to millions and millions of babies for millions and millions of years, a momma-to-be needs to feel like her pregnancy is miraculous, special and sacred, that the things she’s experiencing are unique only to her. Because they are.

2. Help Her Feel Beautiful.
Women don’t generally feel very sexy when they’re pregnant. It’s perfectly appropriate to say things like: “That’s beautiful!” “Yes, perfect!” “Oh that’s just LOVELY.” “Pregnancy looks good on you girl!” Whatever works! If you’re a male photographer you’ll need to be careful about what you say in this crazy world of sexual harassment, but you’re even more capable of pulling the beauty out of her than a female photographer. It’s one thing when your girlfriend tells you’re beautiful, but when your girlfriend’s brother tells you that you’re looking good, you actually believe it. Obviously be careful and be genuine. The success of this tip will depend on your personality, but you can help her help herself. If she feels pretty she’ll look a whole heck of a lot better. It’s that simple.

3. The Great Outdoors.
Taking that natural beauty of a woman who’s ready to bring new life into the world and placing her in the majesty of the great outdoors is simply breathtaking.

4. At Home.
When you shoot a mommy-to-be in her own home she’s comfortable to let go in a way that she may not be otherwise. This is a fantastic reason to hold maternity sessions at home. As a photographer
was our responsibility to help the subjects feel comfortable and capable of giving their best, no matter where we’re shooting. Shooting maternity sessions at home primarily because it’s wonderful for a couple to have a capture that truly shows what their life was like at the time their baby came to be a part of their family. Simple picture of her standing by my bassinet with her hand on her tummy. \

5. Simplify.
No matter where you shoot, studio, home, outside, 7Eleven, you’ve got to simplify your surroundings. The beauty of a mother anticipating the arrival of her child should be captured in a way that allows the miracle to speak for itself. Pregnancy doesn’t require anything “else” to be present in a photograph to help tell it’s story. Everything in the frame that may not belong will simply serve to distract from the story that’s already being told, naturally. Pay attention to background.

6. Highlight Relationship.
Hopefully new babies are coming into a loving home. Try to include photographs that highlight the tender relationship between mom and dad, because bringing a child into the world with someone is arguably love in it’s purest form.

Short Get-Away To Cool Mountain Cameron Highlands!

This was my short getaway to Cameron Highlands last four months ago. The weather was cold and a rainy during the day. I remember the journey traveling up there was climbing hill zig-zag path along the way. As i reach Tanah Rata, I just walked at the fresh vege market and also the night market. Buy strawberry and vegetable is an obligation when visiting Cameron Highland. But the best thing to do is to have a cup of tea in the tea plantations. Yerp, a place to relax yourself and to enjoying the view of cool scenery which only hardly you can get in Malaysia :) . Have a great weekend friends!
